Profile

Born in the Netherlands, I have spent my entire working life living in Israel where I specialised in nonwovens manufacturing.

I have been involved in the construction of a nonwoven wadding plant, a spunlace plant and a quilt manufacturing plant, and have experience in management and product development. Specialised in needlepunch and spunlace, I have done development work on geotechnical fabrics, pre-soaped wipes for hygienic and para-medical purposes, and acoustic insulation products using the thermobond technology.

In addition to that, I have developed and written the procedures required to receive ISO certification for a spunlace manufacturing plant, and have been quality assurance manager of it.

I have worked as mentor for students of a textile school, and for two years have been active in education.

My last project was my participation in the construction of a contract quilting plant in an industrial park in the Gaza Strip, of which I have been plant manager for a short while.

Back in the Netherlands, I'm searching for a suitable job in the nonwovens or the bedding industry, or in a related industry. In the meantime I'm working as production supervisor in a large company that employs mentally and/or physically disabled people, and find that enjoyable just as well.

The ODP is where I spend much of my spare time editing and developing categories, specifically those for textiles and nonwovens.
